WHERE TO STAY
The Park City Mountain Resort is vast and there’s no shortage of hotel options. Our preferred is the Waldorf Astoria, which has direct slope access thanks to the Frostwood Gondola on the doorstep. The rooms are elegant, with gas fireplaces and views of the surrounding landscape.
In Deer Valley you have the St Regis. A newer addition to the resort it offers ski-in/ski-out access, plus a novel funicular railway to swiftly transport you up the slopes. Given its private location, it offers everything you might need on site, from a ski valet station, to an in-house après spot and spa.
WHERE TO EAT (AND APRÈS)
Twisted Fern Eatery is a must-visit, Chef Adam Ross, a New York native, heads up this ‘new-American’ eatery with an ever-changing menu that celebrates unprocessed local ingredients. For après-ski, Umbrella Bar is the ultimate outdoor spot, offering 360° mountain views and the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind.
For a unique alpine dining experience, head to Fireside Dining in Deer Valley, where raclette and roasts are served right from the stone fireplace. The experience is made even more magical with the option to take a horse-drawn sleigh ride to dinner—perfect for families. For something a bit more elevated, Riverhorse on Main is a local favourite, offering a seasonal, eclectic menu in a rustic yet refined setting.
