HOW TO CARE FOR: ALLIED DOWN

Our Allied Down insulation is designed to deliver unparalleled warmth and lightweight comfort in the harshest conditions.

THOUGHTFULLY MADE

Every down jacket is constructed with high-quality, ethically sourced Allied Down and advanced fabric technologies. Allied Down’s processing preserves the down’s resiliency and extends its lifespan while minimizing environmental impact. We ensure each piece meets rigorous standards for performance, animal welfare, and sustainability.

MADE FOR ADVENTURE

Engineered with premium Allied Down, our jackets offer unbeatable warmth and lightweight comfort. Allied Down is processed slowly and without harsh chemicals, avoiding contamination with PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). This meticulous process ensures that the down retains its natural fat, protein, and oils, allowing it to recover its loft after compression and providing warmth and durability for decades.

BEST WHEN CARED FOR

To keep your down jacket performing at its best, follow these care instructions:

  1. Pre-rinse if possible: Start by pre-rinsing your jacket without detergent. This helps saturate the down and fabrics, allowing the detergent to penetrate and clean the down clusters more thoroughly.

  2. Wash on low temperature: Opt for a low-temperature wash to ensure the fabrics, which might need gentler handling, don’t get damaged while effectively cleaning the down.

  3. Rinse thoroughly: After washing, run an additional rinse cycle without detergent. This ensures all detergent is completely removed, as any residue can affect the down’s fill power and performance.

  4. Tumble dry with care: Dry your jacket on a low heat setting using clean tennis balls to help fluff the down. It’s worth running a few extra cycles if needed, as the down can remain slightly damp even when the outer fabric feels dry.

Important: Avoid bleach and iron. They can damage both the fabric and the down.

By following these care guidelines, you’ll ensure your Allied Down jacket remains a trusted companion through all your adventures, maintaining its warmth and performance for years to come.

For the best care results, always refer to the individual garment labels, as specific instructions may vary slightly between pieces.
