Where to go, what to do and (most importantly, in our opinion), what to wear. We’re experts in après, and we’re ready to share—in collaboration with our après partners of the season, Johnnie Walker and Priyanka Chopra.

WHAT IS APRÈS SKI?

Après culture has been a firm fixture in ski resorts since the 1950s. Directly translating to ‘after ski’, it’s different all over the world and down to you how you choose to partake, as long as you unwind and have fun. For us (après aficionados), it’s a major element of every trip, with a major wardrobe to match.

HOW-TO-APRÈS: THE GUIDE

Our four-step guide to mastering the art of après.

  1. Identify your après personality

    Do you prefer a scenic view, excellent soundtrack, old fashioned in hand? Or hot chocolate by the fire in head-to-toe knitwear?

  2. Choose between long or short haul

    A daily decision. Will you be dancing mountain-side until the early hours, grabbing a quick drink at the bar before dinner or taking an après-all-day approach?

  3. Acquire your après wardrobe

    Heading straight from the slopes? Opt for colorful base layers coordinated with your ski outfit. Looking to stand out? Go for unexpected fabrics like leather and pair them with icy indigo or bold graphic knits.

  4. Secure your group Moment-making is better shared. From cosy chalet evenings with your family, to late nights with your best friends. Share the plans, switch off your phone and enjoy the moment.

WHERE TO APRÈS

Most ski resorts have a reputable après scene, but there’s a handful that we favour above anywhere else.

France’s elegant resorts are ideal for those who like a more refined après experience. A seat on the terrace at Le Tremplin in Courchevel 1850 is the perfect place to unwind, glass of champagne in hand. With eight different locations across Europe, La Folie Douce has become an après institution. Our preferred location is the Chamonix outpost, which doubles up as a hotel.

Across the Atlantic, Idaho’s Sun Valley is home to some excellent low-key options, from craft beer and biodynamic wine at TNT Taproom, to local gem Grumpy’s, a renowned dive bar that’s a guaranteed good time.

THE ULTIMATE APRÈS WARDROBE

This season we’ve created an edit of pieces with après in mind.

Transition seamlessly from slope-to-bar with our coordinated base layers. Reworked with new technical details, they feature the same key prints and colours as our outerwear pieces, so you can lose a layer, without sacrificing your look.
